Virginia – The Guiding Star Project has urged all of its supporters to make their voices heard during the open comment period on the HHS Mandate. The comments close at 11:59pm EST today, April 8, 2013.
The Guiding Star Project has used a Social Media Campaign and sent action alerts to raise awareness and encourage participation. “We must make our voices heard,” said Laura Ricketts, Executive Director of the Guiding Star Project, “Women deserve real fertility care, and those who know better – who know that contraceptives, abortifacients, and abortion are dangerous for women must speak out. Why should those of us who know the Truth about Birth Control and Abortion be made to pay for it? Why are faith based businesses and business owners who reject these things being forced to go against their consciences? It’s because there is a war on women, and it’s not being waged by New Feminists and pro-lifers; we must be the ones who fight against it.”
The Guiding Star Project offered talking points and provided the information necessary to make commenting on the Proposed and revised HHS Mandate easy and quick. “We hope that our friends, volunteers, and supporters will take a minute to make public record of their distaste for the mandate,” commented Leah Jacobson, Founder and President of the Guiding Star Project, “and we hope all of our voices will be heard and taken into serious consideration when the comments are reviewed. Forcing this mandate upon us all is extremely objectionable.”
The Guiding Star Project is a Minnesota based, tax exempt, initiative that seeks to create holistic, pro-life centers nationwide that will unite pro-life and pro-women resources to provide support for natural means of family planning, fertility care, childbirth, breastfeeding, and family life.
